Project Development

We act at the forefront of Africa’s most ambitious infrastructure and energy developments, advising public authorities, sponsors, lenders, and investors on complex, large-scale projects requiring a high level of legal, regulatory, and strategic coordination.
Our practice covers a broad range of critical sectors, including power and renewables (with a particular focus on hydrogen), transport, hospitality, telecommunications, and key industrial segments such as steel, cement, chemicals, agribusiness, and emerging technologies. We provide integrated legal support across all stages of project development—from financing, acquisitions, and joint ventures to regulatory frameworks, construction, and commercial agreements.
We have built a robust practice in local content, navigating the rapidly evolving legislation across most African countries. By anticipating the impact of these changes on our clients, we provide strategic guidance throughout their structuring processes. Our deep knowledge of country-specific laws, combined with a nuanced understanding of cultural, societal, and economic dynamics, enables us to offer a unique perspective on regulations affecting key sectors such as hydrocarbons, mining, and banking.

What sets us apart is our ability to align legal strategy with operational and political realities. We help our clients structure bankable, resilient, and forward looking projects that mobilize capital and deliver long term impact.

Uriti is recognized by The Legal 500 EMEA 2024 for its Projects practice. Clients highlight "the ability to find the right balance between public affairs and business matters" and describe our team as "very helpful with the various challenges we're facing and helping us solve them."
